When you sign up, granvl walks you through a short setup before you reach the app. A panel on the left tracks four steps: How granvl works, Your brand, Connect your agent, and Build your first funnel. You can skip the agent and funnel steps and come back to them from Home. If you signed up from granvl's website sign-up page, a few screens differ: see If you signed up for a website below.
Before you begin
Sign up at app.granvl.com.
Have the AI agent you plan to use open: Claude (desktop app or claude.ai), ChatGPT or Codex, Grok Bot, or Cursor.
Know your website address. Your agent uses it when it builds your first funnel.
1. Accept the beta terms
The first screen is Before you start, titled Welcome to the granvl beta. It explains that granvl is beta software, that things may change while it is built, and that you should keep a fallback you control for anything business-critical. Links to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy sit under the three points.
Read the three points.
Tick the checkbox to confirm you understand the beta terms.
Select I understand, let's go.
You see this screen once per account. The button stays disabled until the box is ticked.
2. Name your workspace
A workspace is your account in granvl. Its funnels, domains, teammates, credits and billing all belong to it.
On Name your workspace., enter a Workspace name (for example, your company name).
Select Create workspace.
You can rename it later in Settings > Workspace.
3. Read how granvl works
How granvl works shows three cards:
Card | What it means |
Create with your agent via MCP | You build and edit pages by asking the agent you already use. granvl gives it the tools. |
Your leads go straight to your tools | Form submissions go from the visitor's browser to the destinations you choose. Contact details are never stored by granvl. See How granvl handles lead data. |
Keep everything organized by brand | Your workspace is the account. Brands work like folders inside it. |
Select Let's set things up to continue.
4. Create your brand
Every workspace starts with one brand. This step gives it a name.
On Create a brand., enter a Brand name (for example, the business you run ads for).
Select Continue.
A brand works like a folder: its pages, research, offers and campaigns live inside it. Most people need one. Add more later if you run several businesses. Your agent reads the brand before it builds anything, so it's worth adding your logo, colors, fonts and voice after setup in Settings > Brands. See Organize work with brands and brand kits.
5. Pick your agent
On Connect your agent., choose the client you use:
Option | Covers |
Claude | Claude desktop or claude.ai |
ChatGPT | ChatGPT and Codex |
Grok Bot | xAI's always-on agent |
Cursor | Your agent inside your editor |
Select the connect button (it names your choice, for example Connect Claude). To skip, select Connect later. You go straight to the starter prompt and can connect from MCP in the sidebar at any time.
6. Connect your agent and install the skill
The next screen lists numbered steps for your agent. Open each step, follow it, and select Done, next. The last step's button reads Done.
The steps do two things:
Connect your workspace. Your agent adds granvl's MCP server,
https://app.granvl.com/api/mcp, and opens a browser tab so you can sign in and authorize it.Install the granvl skill. The skill is the guide your agent reads before it builds. Depending on the agent, you download it as a ZIP and upload it, or paste a short prompt that asks the agent to install it.
For Claude and ChatGPT, setup shows the desktop app steps. Command-line steps for Claude Code and Codex are on the MCP page in the sidebar. Every client's steps are in Connect your agent, and the skill is covered in Install and verify the granvl skill.
Select Continue when you're done, or Finish later to skip ahead to the starter prompt.
7. Restart your agent
Your agent picks up a new connection and skill only in a fresh session. Restart your agent shows what to do for the client you picked:
Agent | What to do |
Claude | Quit and reopen the desktop app. If you use Claude in your browser, open a new chat. |
ChatGPT or Codex | Close the app or terminal session fully, open it again, and start a new conversation. |
Grok Bot | Type @ in the chat and pick granvl, then start a new task. |
Cursor | Run Reload Window from the command palette, then open a new agent chat. |
Select I'm ready.
8. Copy the starter prompt
Let's build your first funnel. shows Your starter prompt. Select Copy prompt and paste it into a new chat with your agent:
Using the Granvl skill, build a new funnel for {your website}.
Start with Granvl’s “quiz-fullscreen”, “quiz-cards”, and “quiz-chat” templates. Pull their code with get_template_html and create three variants on one quiz page, plus a thank-you page. Split test the variants and restyle each one to match my brand.
Before building, ask for my quiz questions or a link to a quiz I already use.
Test the funnel end to end, publish a preview, and send me the link.
Replace {your website} with your site's address before you send it. Your agent asks for your quiz questions, builds three quiz variants and a thank-you page, and sends you a preview link. Nothing is public until you publish the funnel on your own domain.
Then select Open workspace, or I'll build later to skip. The same prompt is waiting on Home under Build your first page. To take the funnel all the way to launch, follow Build and launch your first funnel.
9. Start your free trial
New workspaces end setup on Your free trial:
Free for 7 days, with no credit card required.
Starter is $89/month after your trial.
You subscribe only if you choose to continue. You won't be charged automatically.
Select Start my free trial to open Home. The header shows how many trial days remain. See Manage your plan, trial, and billing.
After setup: the Home checklist
Until your workspace is fully set up, Home shows a short checklist in two stages. Each item ticks itself when the work is actually done, whether you did it in the dashboard or your agent did it over MCP. Select an item to open its steps in a panel.
Stage | Items |
Finish setting up your workspace | Connect your agent via MCP, Build your first page, Connect a domain |
Get ready to launch | Add lead delivery, Add your ad tracking (optional), Send your first visitors (optional) |
The second stage appears once the first is complete. When both are done, Home switches to your funnel performance overview.
If you signed up for a website
When you create your account from granvl's website sign-up page, your first workspace is website-only: it's set up to build and publish your brand website, with no trial. The beta terms, workspace name, agent connection and restart screens are the same as above. These differ:
Step | What you see |
Side panel | The four steps read How it works, Your brand, Connect your agent, and Build your website. |
How your website works | Three cards: Built by your agent over MCP, Free to build and preview (your $5/month starts only when you publish on your own domain), and Upgrade when you're ready (move to Starter in Settings > Billing for landing pages, split tests and ads). |
Name your brand. | Besides Brand name, an optional Website field. If you have a site already, enter it and granvl pulls its logo, colors and fonts for the new one. Set up later skips this step. |
Let's build your website. | Your starter prompt asks your agent to build your Home, Services, About and Contact pages, plus one page of your own, with one shared header, footer and main button. Select Copy prompt and paste it into a new chat. |
Free until you publish | The last screen: no card is needed to build and preview, and the Website plan is $5/month once you publish on your own domain. Select Start building to open your website. |
Home then shows a website checklist instead of the funnel one:
Stage | Items |
Put your website online | Connect your agent via MCP, Build your homepage, Connect your domain, Choose a plan and publish |
Finish your website | Add your other pages |
