Published funnels are served from a domain you own, such as go.yourbrand.com. A domain belongs to one of your brands, and one domain can host many funnels as long as their page paths differ. granvl provisions the SSL certificate for you once the domain is verified.
Before you begin
You need to be a workspace owner or admin to add, verify, change or remove domains.
You need access to the DNS settings where your domain is registered or hosted.
Use a subdomain you don't use for anything else, such as go.yourbrand.com or offers.yourbrand.com. A root domain works too, but it takes over your main address.
Add the domain
In the sidebar's brand switcher, pick the brand the domain belongs to. With All brands selected, the domain goes to your default brand.
Open Settings > Domains and click + Add domain.
Under Enter a sub-domain, type the hostname without https:// or a page path, then click Continue.
Step 2, DNS & verification, shows the record that points the domain at granvl: a CNAME for a subdomain, or an A record for a root domain (plus a recommended www record, so www redirects to the root). Add it at your DNS provider, then click Done.
Your agent can do the same with create_domain and read the records back with get_domain_dns_records.
Add the DNS records and verify
Verification needs two records: one that routes traffic to granvl and one that proves you own the domain.
In Settings > Domains, click Manage on the domain. The panel opens on About; open the DNS tab.
Add the routing record shown under CNAME · Host and CNAME · Points to (or A · Host and A · Points to for a root domain), if you haven't already.
Add a TXT record using TXT · Host and TXT · Value. Click Copy to copy the value.
If the DNS tab lists any other record, add it too.
Wait a few minutes for DNS to update, then click Verify now.
Copy the values from the DNS tab rather than from an older guide; they are generated for your domain.
Most DNS providers add your registered domain to the host name for you, so the DNS tab shows only the part to type. That holds for two-part country endings such as .com.au and .co.uk too:
Domain you add | CNAME host to enter | TXT host to enter |
go.yourbrand.com | go | _granville-verify.go |
lp.yourbrand.com.au | lp | _granville-verify.lp |
If verification doesn't pass yet, the message says which record is still missing. DNS changes can take up to an hour to spread. Click Verify now again, or ask your agent to run verify_domain, which is safe to repeat.
The TXT record can be removed after the first successful verification. Keep the routing record.
SSL and domain status
granvl issues the SSL certificate automatically once both records check out.
Status in Settings > Domains | DNS tab | Meaning |
Pending | Pending verification | Records not found yet. Add them and verify. |
SSL pending | Verified · SSL provisioning | Ownership is proven; the certificate is still being issued. |
Active | Verified | Ready to serve funnels. |
While any domain is pending, a banner at the top of Settings > Domains says so, with a Review → link. granvl rechecks domains stuck on SSL pending every day. If one is still pending after 24 hours, workspace members get an email with the exact record that is missing. Don't send ad traffic until the domain shows Active.
Publish funnels on the domain
Open the funnel and go to Settings > Details.
Under Domain, pick your domain. The list shows the domains of the brand selected in the sidebar.
Publish the funnel.
Each live page on a domain needs its own path. Publishing stops with a message if another live funnel on the same domain already uses a path. Unpublishing or archiving a funnel frees its paths. A page with the path "/" serves at the domain root. If no live page uses "/", visitors who type the bare domain are sent to the entry page of the oldest live funnel on it.
Domain settings
Manage opens one panel per domain. Its settings apply to every funnel served on the domain.
Tab | What you set there |
About | Domain logo (PNG, JPG or SVG, under 3 MB), Business legal name, Privacy policy URL and Terms of service URL for the legal footer granvl adds to every page, and TrustedForm on every funnel. |
DNS | The records above, the verification status and Verify now. |
Scripts | Code added to every page: <head>, Start of <body> and End of <body>. Tick Wait for visitor consent to hold a slot until the visitor opts in. |
CSP | Allowed script hosts: one host per line. Scripts from any other origin are blocked on your pages. |
Brand | The Brand kit your agent uses for pages on this domain, and the Brand the domain belongs to. |
CRM Quality | The postback URL your CRM calls and the map from your CRM's stage names to granvl's lead stages. See Qualify leads and track what happens next. |
Danger zone | Remove domain. |
TrustedForm on every funnel adds the TrustedForm snippet to every page on the domain, whether or not the funnel has it turned on, so every lead carries a TrustedForm certificate URL.
Custom scripts run on your live pages exactly as pasted and are not checked by granvl. Paste only code from vendors you trust. For Meta, GA4, Google Ads, TikTok and Google Tag Manager, use Settings > Tracking instead. Your agent can manage the script slots with update_domain_scripts.
Tracking for the domain
Pixels and server-side conversion tracking are also set per domain and apply to every funnel on it. Open Settings > Tracking and click Manage (or Set up) on the domain. A pending domain shows View domain until it is verified. See Configure pixels and conversion APIs.
Move a domain to another brand
In Settings > Domains, click Manage on the domain and open the Brand tab.
Under Brand, pick the new brand. This field appears when your workspace has more than one brand.
Click Save.
The funnels published on the domain move with it. A funnel that changes brand leaves its old brand's folder. The move only changes where the domain and its funnels are listed: serving, tracking, settings and stats stay as they are.
Your agent can do this with move_domain_to_brand. Ask it to move the funnels too (move_funnels), or they stay listed under the old brand.
Remove a domain
In Manage > Danger zone, click Remove domain and confirm. Every funnel served on the domain goes offline. Your DNS records are not touched; remove them at your provider if you no longer need them. If you add the same domain again later, verify it again.
